Security matter is a serious business, this is part of the statements of the Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA while joining in laying foundation of Ultra Modern Police Station at Orile Imo in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
The Council boss stressed that, it is more of importance to prioritize security of lives and properties, as Obafemi Owode Local Government is central and business hub that share boundaries with Lagos and Oyo States.
He disclosed that His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON has keen interest in this project, as his administration in the state has zero tolerance to crime and any form of unrest within Ogun State and border communities, which necessitated the government collaboration with private partners who has shared vision in complementing government to provide equipments, infrastructure needed for the security forces to ease their work and reduce the crime rate in our society.
He further assured that necessary support as a Government shall also be provided towards the completion of the police station.
His Royal Highness, Oba Oluwambe Mofolorunso Sogaolu, Olu of Orile Imo explained that the projects was borne out of desire to strengthen the security coverage of Orile Imo as a connect axis to Lagos, Sagamu, Ibadan and Abeokuta with the fast grown Industrial location which has a lot of companies both operational and under construction.
Oba Sogaolu further stated the purpose of building Police Station is to complement what is already existing in Owode Egba Police Division, so as to create a sought of relief in combating security challenges on our society.
He said the Completion of the Ultra Modern Police Station in Orile Imo will be completed by 2nd Quarter of year 2025 with all equipments in place.
He explained that its aim is to equiped the Police Force with the plan to open a Security Trust Fund that will be providing help for the security activities in the provision of equipments like Motorbikes, Vehicles for the surveillance and patrols within the nooks and crannies of Orile Imo and its environs, as we need to help the police force, so they can help the citizenry as well as to make the environment safe for all to live in.
While turning the sod, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Alake of Egbaland commended the developmental strides that has since happening in Orile Imo since the ascension on the throne of Oba Sogaolu as Olu of Orile Imo. He encouraged all other Royal Fathers to emulate the developmental spirit in their various towns so as to bring about a peaceful and safe environment in our community, as he prayed for continuous peace and unity among the people of Orile Imo Town, Egbaland and Ogun State as a whole.
Similarly, ACP. Ade Adedeji, Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force, Owode Egba representing the Commissioner of Police, CP. Abiodun Alamutu applauded the initiative of building a Police Station in complementing the efforts of the Government and Nigeria Police Force in maintaining a safe and peaceful environment.
He thanked the Local Government Chairman, Amb. Ogunsola for identifying with the police force by providing necessary support at all time and assured that the projects will be thoroughly used by the time is completed and handed to Force Headquarters.
Other Royal Fathers in attendance includes, His Royal Highnesses, Oba Sowemimo, Olu of Owode, Oba Odeyinka Laurence, Olu of Siun, Chief Yinka Kufile Aro of Egba, among others.
