…“Uphold the Integrity of Your Mandate,” Chairman Urges Councillors
The ceremony took place at the Dapo Abiodun Viewing Centre, Owode-Egba, amidst a gathering of dignitaries and stakeholders.
Addressing the councillors representing 12 wards across the council area, Amb. Ogunsola emphasized the collective goal of grassroots development and equitable service delivery.
“Your present positions demand responsiveness to the yearnings and aspirations of the people,” the chairman said.
“Let me advise that establishing an office in your wards where you engage with constituents will make you more accountable to the leaders and the people who elected you.”
Amb. Ogunsola reiterated his commitment to translating his administration’s vision of responsibility and progress for Obafemi Owode Local Government.
He called for unity among traditional rulers, community leaders, religious groups, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of his administration’s priority areas.
“Our mantra, as inspired by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun’s vision of ‘Building Our Future Together,’ emphasizes collective responsibility. Together, we shall address the needs of our people and build a legacy for future generations,” he stated.

The event was graced by notable personalities, including Engr. Adesina Babatunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works; Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun; Hon. Emmanuel Sofela, Commissioner for Trade and Investments; Hon. Mrs. Nike Osoba, Commissioner II, Civil Service Commission; and Hon. Emmanuel Olude, APC Chairman for Obafemi Owode Local Government, among others.
As the council begins its tenure, Amb. Ogunsola expressed confidence in their capacity to fulfill their duties, stating, “Together, we will chart a course that benefits every ward and creates a model local government our people can be proud of.”
