STATUTORY RETIREMENT: AYUBA, OGUN STATE NULGE PRESIDENT BOWS OUT OF ACTIVE SERVICE

...advised to move closer to God in his retirement.

The retired State President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ogun State, who also doubles as the Director, Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation for Abeokuta North Local Government, Comrade (Sanitarian) Olatunji Ayuba Akanji has been advised to move more closer to God while bowing out of active service on Thursday 11th May, 2023.
The Chief Imam, Abeokuta North Local Government Secretariat's Central Mosque, Akomoje, Alhaji Rufai Musiliudeen gave the advice while speaking at the Thanksgiving service to usher in prayers to commemorate the Celebrant's retirement and birthday while noting that, that is the next things for him to be doing in order to be grateful to God for preserving his life till today 
and beyond.



Speaking also at the event which featured pen down/ pul out parade and reception for the celebrant, the Director, Planning, Research, Budget and Statistics, in the Council area, Mr Babatunde Oguntoyinbo who stood in for the Head of Local Government Administration, (HOLGA) Alhaji Abayomi Lemboye, described the Celebrant as a pace setter who makes peace wherever there is trouble, he added that he will be greatly missed.

In his own speech, the Ogun State Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) Comrade Benco Ahmed Ademola described Comrade Ayuba as a great unionist, a pride as well as treasure to the union and above all an epitome of good characters.
Sanitarian Ademola Sodeke, the State HHOAN Chairman, the number one Sanitarian in Ogun State, and Director, WES, Ifo Local Government supervised the pen down exercise, whereby the celebrant signed the last abatement receipt to be presented to the Executive Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, and later the pull out parade.


The NULGE Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government, Comrade Okanlawon Olawale, portrayed Comrade Olatunji Ayuba as a role model who is well grounded, dedicated and full of passion in any issues related to unionism.
The highpoint of the celebration was a colourful reception organized in honour of the celebrant at the D' Olive Event Centre, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
Meanwhile, the celebrant, Comrade Olatunji Akanji Ayuba used the medium to appreciate, his wife, children, union leaders, bosses both retired and still serving, colleagues, family, friends, and everyone that graced the occasion as well as the organizers for honouring him and that he will forever be indebted to them all.


The occasion had in attendance numbers of Delarcreme in the service and unionism of Ogun State, Southwestern States, National body as well as all the 20 Local Government both retired and still in active service among whom were; the Commissioner III and the Permanent Secretary in the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Fagbayi Olusesan Abolaji, and Dr. Oluseun Adeolu Olufowobi both of whom represented the Commission, Comrade Akeem Ambali, the National President NULGE, Comrade Abimbola, National Vice President, NULGE Headquarters, Abuja, Former Permanent Secretary and Former Ogun State NULGE President, Alhaji Wale Ayilara, Former Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Local Government Pensions, and the Otun Iyalode of Oke-Ona Egba, Chief Mrs. Irene Afolashade Kokumo,

Others includes; Comrade Ahmed Ademola Benco, NLC Chairman, Ogun State, Director Management Services, Mr. Owolabi Babatunde, Comrade Bola Taiwo, Ondo State NULGE President, and other veterans, and  dignitaries across the walks of life, and many more too numerous to mention.
