MAJEKODUNMI HARPS ON ADHERENCE TO SANITATION AND SAFETY IN ADATAN MARKET

As part of its efforts at ensuring a healthy environment in Adatan market as well as safety, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP with the Management Staff in the Local Government  has warned  traders in Adatan market to ensure strict adherence to sanitation and safety guidelines within the market Area.
Majekodunmi  during the  inspection said the present administration would do all it takes in ensuring  that the weekly environmental sanitation is observed within the nooks and crannies of the Local Government.Area.
The Council Boss who expressed dissatisfaction at the unclean environment as well as the nonchalant attitude of the traders in observing the Sanitation  Law added that a healthy Nation is a wealthy one. He however appealed to the traders to do away with unhygenic  practises such as indiscriminate dumping of waste, blocking of drainages as well as displaying of wares on the highway thus affecting free flow of traffic.  
Reiterated to the traders to adhere strictly and not breach environmental laws since the Local Government would not hesitate to shut down filthy markets.   
Responding,  the babaloja of Adatan Market, Chief Idowu Agoro promised that the traders will ensure a strict compliance to the statutory environmental order of the LG.
Those in attendance were the  Vice Chairman, Surveyor Iretiolu Lanre Sotayo, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu, other political functionaries and  members of staff.
