The Executive Chairman Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon. Ogunsola Adesina on Monday inaugurated the 8th legislative arm of the local government into office; charged them to be of good conducts in their functions while Hon.Kehinde Akinsola from Onidundu Ward was collectively voted for by the other Councillors in the House, to be the Leader of the Chamber in OOLG.
Hon. Ogunsola urged the newly inaugurated councillors to be good ambassadors of their various wards. He said this at the proclamation of the Legislative House and the election of officers into the legislative arm of the council.
He, however, enjoined the newly elected councillors to repose the confidence of the electorates by making laws that would impact positively on the lives of the people.
Further stated that, among the dividends of democracy in which the dwellers in the Local Government Area are hoping for is the proposed fifty (50) Unit of low cost Housing Estate which in collaboration will serve as a kind of complement to the state government housing policy on affordable houses to the residents.
Added that the perfect completion of the proposed Housing Estate in OOLG shall attract new investment in the local government area and if eventually approved by the State Government, it will in a twinkle of an eye turns the local government area into a peculiar hub for the gesture shall also invite in the well-meaning people to emigrate in the local government.
