Community Welfare Association (CWA) Ogun State chapter says it has rewarded no fewer than 50 hardworking members with different kinds of succour in order to improve their standard of living.
The association also revealed that it has assisted some Community Development Association (CDA) with transformers and concrete poles to make life better for them in the community.
The President of CWA, Olusegun Kolawole made this known while empowering another set of people with Micra car and cash gifts held at Obada junction in Abeokuta the state capital.
Kolawole explained that the empowerment program was designed to reward members of the association for their dedication and hard work in their various communities.
Also present at the event are Olu Awowo, Oba AbdulGafar Tijani, Olu Obada, Oba Olufemi Solaja, former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Israel Jolaosho among others.
According to the President "We are empowering our members with two Micra car, cash gift to boost her business."
"We are not just doing it, we have done something similar about two weeks ago when we empowered people with cars and money as parts of efforts to empower them."
"We carefully selected hardworking members and it's a continuous empowerment."
"I will advised the beneficiaries to continue to be truthful as we know them to be and also have it at the back of their minds that if one association can do this kind help to them, they should emulate by doing such to others."
"Our association has empowered more than 50 people including the three people we are giving here today."
"We assisted some CDAs in one way or the other, like we assisted some of them to get transformer from IBEDC company, those CDAs are under Lala, Kere, Eleyele and many more."
"We also gave some CDAs concrete Pole to make life better for them and to return money without any additional money, like Irewolede, Orilepenifa CDA and many more."
"And we also empower women with cash of 50 thousand naira to assist them on their businesses without any additional fees." He concluded.
