Oyegbola-Sodipo Says Youth Are Fully Ready For Politics

A chairmanship hopeful, Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo said Nigeria youths are ready to participate fully in politics advising them to make use of the All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration to become members of the party.

Oyegbola disclosed this during a book launch and Award ceremony which was held at Daktad  hotel and suites, Quarry road , Abeokuta.

The chairmanship aspirant who also received a meritorious award from APC Youth wing  in Abeokuta north nites the that every recognition and  acknowledgement is a call  to do more.

He said, ''I believe that today is a Clarion call, that there is a lot of work to do, and whatever we've done so far and call for this sort of recognition, this is to say we have to do more.

"So let me begin by saying to you that, in Nigeria today 65 percentage of this population and more are young people between the age of 18 to 45 years old.

''Recognising that critical segment of the population is saying is time for people coming to the part of the process.

" I believe that this party registration is one that has opened us to what they may always be asking for, to have our voices heard and we want our opinions to be considered and we want our condition to be given attention .

"The only way that will become possible is when we take part, because it's when we take part that we can take charge.

"Am not going to talk If the youths are ready for governance, if the youth ready to get involved and my response will be yes, I think that the youths are ready to get involved, and I think at a large extent, we can see that from what we are seeing today, the turn  out,  the level of participation shows that the youths are already have space in where they are all getting involved and we also going to be contributing our little quota as required" he affirmed.
