OMITOGUN BOWS OUT OF SERVICE IN A BLAZE OF GLORY, LG PROGRESSIVE CICS MEMBERS REJOICE WITH HIM

Head of Local Government Administration, Yewa South Local Government, Pastor Olamide Bankole Omitogun, JP having attained age 60, meritoriously spent 32 years in Ogun State Local Government Service bowed out of service today 18th of  March 2024 with a shining light.

Pastor Omitogun with enthusiasm thanked God for the Grace given to him which culminated in his 60th birthday Anniversary. The retirement and 60th birthday of Omitogun was described by the President Ogun LG Progressive Cooperative Society, Mr. Ayodele Quadri and other members as an epitome of excellence while hosting him on Zoom platform on Tuesday 12 March, 2024.

Pastor Omitogun was born on 18th day of March, 1964 in Ifonyintedo, Ipokia LGA of Ogun State to the family of Pa. Omitogun Joseph and Mama Omitogun Esther. He joined Local Government Service in December 30, 1991 as Higher Executive Officer (Accounts) in Abeokuta North Local Government, Akomoje then got converted from Executive Cadre to Accountant Cadre in 1997 which is the superior Cadre in Finance Department.

A seasoned Accountant cum Administrator, having worked in 15 different Local Governments out of the 20 LGs in the State, as well as the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission in different capacities ranging from Accountant to Senior Accountant, Internal Auditor, Director of Finance and Supplies and to the Apex position of Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA).

The Retired HOLGA, while speaking with members of Progressive Cooperative Investments & Credit Society of the LG on Zoom platform pointed out that his success in the office was due to special grace of God and prayers.

He, however, urged other members of the LG to understand the recent season; advised them to begin to cut their cloths according to their clothes and to have additional income that would stable their needs, to reduce collection of loans for social events, respect their seniors in the service and to obey staff regulations and financial regulation.

He further called on those who are coming after him in the service not to live double standard life but rather remain dedicated to God in all areas.
