Killing of 16 Army Personnel in Delta is Barbaric - Osun Amotekun Commander





(Rtd) Brig-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi,  State Commander,  Osun Amotekun Corps, has condemned and described the killing of 16 army personnel in Delta State as barbaric and a heinous crime.



Adewinmbi stated this on Tuesday, in a condolence message to the Nigerian Army, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, and the families of all the personnel killed.



He called on authorities to leave no stone unturned in ensuring those responsible for the dastardly act are brought to justice.



"On behalf of Osun Amotekun Corps, Family, Friends, and Associates, I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, the families of all the personnel who have lost their lives, the Nigerian Army and Officers and troops of Operation Delta Safe.




"This is on the tragic loss of personnel who were killed during a peace mission to the Okuama community in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State. 



"This is a perfidious height of a barbaric, sardonic, and heinous crime.




"I applaud the courage of the departed military personnel as they have paid the Supreme price performing the ultimate act of service to the nation. 



"Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will forever be etched in our hearts and minds."




"I call on the authorities to leave no stone unturned in ensuring those responsible for this dastardly act are brought to justice.




"May the souls of our fallen heroes find eternal peace and rest and grant Nigerian Army and their families fortitude to bear the unexpected losses of young gallant officers and men."  Adewinmbi said
