SCORES ATTEND JUMA’AT SERVICE AS MAIDEN OGUN STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE WEEK GETS UNDER WAY

 
As activities marking the maiden edition of the Ogun State Local Government Service Week continues, scores of Local Government Staffers across the twenty Council Areas in the State, led by Ms. Olivia Olubukonla Onabanjo attended the Juma'at Service held at the Federal Secretariat Mosque, Oke-Mosan. 
The 2023 Ogun State Local Government Service Week celebration commenced today, Friday 10th November, 2023 with the Commission's Chairman, Ms. Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo featuring on the OGTV current affairs programme "New Dawn" earlier in the day. 
In his sermon at the Juma'at service the Chief Imam, Fadilat Sheik Alhaji Rauf Muritador emphasized the importance of thanksgiving, as well as the benefits which is enormous, if human being could be appreciating whatever Allah has done in his or her life.

 He thereafter prayed for the leadership of Local Government Service Commission and the entire workforce in the Ogun State Local Government Service. 
Activities lined up for the week long programme continues on Sunday 12th November, 2023 with a special Thanksgiving service at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Degun, Ijebu-Ode. There will also be medical outreach /charity programme  at different centres across the four provinces of the State on Monday 13th November. Other activities include a public lecture holding on Tuesday 14th November, followed by Road Show and a Novelty Football Match on Wednesday 15th November, 2023 at MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta. The week long programme will be climaxed on Thursday 16th November with an award and gala night at DLK Event Centre, Leme/Abiola Way, Abeokuta. 
In attendance with the Chairman , Local Government Service Commission are  Hon. Lukman Olufemi  Adiro, full time Commissioner 1, Hon. Koye Martins Ijaduoye, Full time Commissioner II, Balogun Rasaq Olatunde Rufai, Full time Commissioner IV, Dr. Adeolu Oluseun Olufowobi, Permanent Secretary and all Directors of the Commission and the Heads of Local Government Administration across the twenty Local Government Areas, without leaving out the Directors and Heads of various Departments as well as Unit Heads amongst many others. 

The Local Government Service week is being marked to celebrate Staffers of the Local Government Service in appreciation of their contributions to the grassroot development.
