ASLG: MAJEKODUNMI EMPOWERS RESIDENTS WITH CASH GIFTS

To cushion the effects of Fuel Subsidy Removal by the Federal Government, the Executive Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP, has empowered hundreds of residence with cash gifts as a form of empowerment.

The empowerment programme, organised by the Council Helmsman took place at the Olusegun Taiwo Multipurpose Hall, Ake, Abeokuta, on Wednesday 25th October, 2023, in attendance were beneficiaries from the 15 Wards in the Local Government Area.

Hon. Majekodunmi stated that he felt there was a need to support both small and medium-sized business owners in the Local Government, especially during this trying period.

Responding on behalf of recipients, Mrs Jemila Balogun and Engr. Adebesin from Ward 8 as well as Mrs. Balogun Bolanle Bada from Ward 3, appreciated the kind gesture Hon. Majekodunmi extended to them. They prayed and showered encomium on him. The former Senior Special Adviser on Environment, Alhaji Faruoq Akintunde also eulogised the Chairman and admonished the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash gifts.

Present at the event were: Leader of the Legislative Arm of the LG, Hon. Kazeem Adenekan, Supervisors, Special Advisers, Consultants, APC Party Chairman ASLG, ably represented by the Vice; Hon. Bayo Omidiji and party chieftains.
