Read What Yoruba Youths President, Oluwole Says Ahead Tinubu’s May 29 Inauguration

Our attention has been drawn to ongoing plans in the news from different quarters to stop the inauguration ahead of the May 29 inauguration of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The Apex umbrella body of yoruba youths, Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organization of Nigeria (YAYON) has put a warning on those who planned against the peaceful inauguration of the next administration to desist or face the wrought of yoruba youths.

YAYON President, Oluwole Eric made the appeal in a press statement made available to journalists saying that it has not seen any reasons why Asiwaju and Shettima should not be sworn in on May 29, as the next president of Nigeria.

It would be recalled that some aggrieved citizens based on the circulation on social media are planning against the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential elections, therefore want his inauguration to be scuttled.

Oluwole in his press statement warned those planning to scuttle Tinubu’s inauguration against doing so, saying that a winner has been announced and inauguration shouldn't be a threat.

The Yoruba Youths President who expressed confidence in Tinubu’s government said he has done it before in Lagos state and there is no doubt, that he will still do it as Nigeria president.

Oluwole has recently called on the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to grant statutory role to royal fathers in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The group demanded that the traditional rulers be provided with monthly security votes, amounting to 50 per cent of the funds allocated to each state of the federation among other demands.

YAYON President therefore said despite of ongoing litigations and protests, the inauguration of Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, would hold as scheduled on May 29.

According to him "inspite all the ongoing litigations and intimidation by some aggrieved citizens, nothing shall stop May 29 inauguration, we are very confidence in this coming administration that is why we are solemnly behind it as a Yoruba Youths Apex body"

YAYON President therefore warned those that have no business around inauguration vicinity to steer clear and allow the process to go smoothly.

We appealed that everyone should remain calm and allow peace to reign before and after the May 29 inauguration.
