SAGAMU LG. HOLGA, OGUNPITAN, RETIRES FROM SERVICE, CELEBRATES 60TH BIRTHDAY

Mr. Phillip Olalekan Ogunpitan, the Head of Local Government Administration, Sagamu Local Government, will on Wednesday, 15th March, 2023, retires from the Ogun State Local Government Service, after thirty two years of eventful and fulfilling career.
This also coincides with his 60th birthday anniversary.

As part of activities marking the twin event, a retirement/birthday party has been put together to celebrate the highly cerebral economist, accountant, and council administrator.

Organised by his colleagues in the service, with support from family, friends, and associates; the event will hold at the Ijebu Ode Local Government secretariat, Itoro, Ijebu Ode, commencing from 11am.

Born at Agodo, into the family of late Chief Elijah Oguntimilehin Ogunpitan, and late Madam Eldlanah Ibijoke Ogunpitan, both of blessed memory, Ogunpitan joined the Ogun State Local Government Service on December, 1991 as a Higher Executive Officer (General Duties).
He has traversed the four zones of the state working at various local governments, and serving in various capacities as Higher Executive Officer (General Duties); Higher Executive Officer ( Accounts); Accountant; Planning Officer; Internal Auditor; Director of Finance and Supplies; and Head of Local Government Administration. Among his stations were Ogun Waterside; Ijebu East; Ijebu Ode; Imeko Afon; Ijebu North; Remo North; Odeda; Obafemi Owode; Odogbolu; and Sagamu.

An alumnus of the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ogunpitan graduated from the institution with a B.Sc. Economics degree in 1989.
He also bagged a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Ado Ekiti in 2002, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Local Government Studies at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, in the year 2018.
A Certified National Accountant, Ogunpitan is  equally a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.

A worker in the Lord's vineyard, he ministers at the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

A socialite of repute, Mr. Phillip Olalekan Ogunpitan belongs to the prestigious Dynamic Galaxy Club.

A loving husband and caring father, he is happily married to Princess Abosede Adeyinka Ogunpitan, and the marriage is blessed with wonderful children.
