2023 BUDGET RETREAT: OOLG BOSS, OGUNSOLA, COMMENDS IGR COMMITTEE, CHARGES MANAGEMENT ON CONTINUOUS COOPERATION

The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre has commended the performance of the Internally Generated Revenue Committee of the Council on the year 2022 budget performance in the area of revenue generation. 

The Council Boss gave the commendation recently at the year 2023 Budget Proposal Retreat, held at the council Secretariat, owode.

He applauded the committee set up to drive the revenue base of the Council, headed by the Secretary to the Local Government, Chief Kayode Dipeolu and entire workforce for their productiveness and support to this administration in improving the revenue generation and potentials with the hope of surpassing it in year 2023, while assured of his support to staff at all time.

He further highlighted his plans to renovate some Health Centers, within the Local Government Area, with the aim of boosting productivity in healthcare delivery.To construct and renovates dilapidated schools for better learning in the council area.

He also revealed plans to sink more boreholes accros the communities and continuous grading of roads in all the nooks and crannies of the local government.    

Earlier, Mr. Lekan Ogunjobi, Head of Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics Department, explained the importance of the retreat, which he said is in accordance with the law as stipulated by the International Public Sector Accounting Standard. 

Attendance at the retreat include, Hon. Titus Olusesi, Vice Chairman, Supervisors, Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Fatai Ogundele, Directors and Heads of Departments amongst others.
