The Executive Chairman Abeokuta South Local Government Ake, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP on Tuesday 14th of February, 2023 has put smile on the faces of members of staff and political functionaries while celebrating second edition of Saint Valentine's day in the LG.
Majekodunmi with open-heart enthused joy, urged all the political functionaries and career officers to exercise patience during this dearth period, think less and show affection as well as to ensure peaceful co-existence with their loved ones
The Vice Chairman of the LG, Surveyor Iretiolu Sotayo narated the true essence of the day which is true love and to spread what is called agape love. He added that it is supposed to be a day that lovers, married couples, reaffirm their love and genuine affection for themselves.
He reiterated further that, it is about nurturing families and promoting the spirit of giving, sharing and sacrificing.
However, the highlight of the day was the exchange of gifts amongs the chosen partners, in an instance; Special Adviser to Information, Education and Sports, Hon. Sodamola Moshood Abiola presented a standard "Dressing Mirror" to his partner, Mrs. Adesola Ogunaike of Finance & Supplies Department, while Supervisor for Primary Health Care, Hon. Abdulkareem Abdulgafar also doled out N10,000 cash gift to his partner, Mrs. Temitope Irene Uduak of Admin Department.
The programme was crowned with dancing competition amongst partners, while Hon. Majekodunmi gave the best dancers various gifts.
