FAMILIARISATION TOUR: OOLG SEEKS FOR MUTUAL COEXISTENCE WITH SECURITY AGENCIES

The Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon. Adesina Ogunsola , has  sought for more synergy with various law enforcement agencies within the council area to further strengthen security in the area.

Ogunsola stated this on Wednesday during the continuation of his familiarisation visit to the offices of, Department of State Security (DSS), Amotekun Corps, area command and Owode Divisional Police station in the local government.

The council boss reiterated that security within the council area could only be achieved and boosted through collaborative efforts between the council and the security agencies.

He added that the issue of security required the support and cooperation of all stakeholders at different levels.

He called on citizens of the local government to ensure peaceful coexistence among one another.

Ogunsola called on the people of the local government to avail  security agencies with necessary information that will boost their efforts on security management. 

Responding, CSP Popoola A.O, Owode Divisional Police station, assured continued partnership with the local government, saying that the police would continue to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

He noted that synergy is important to achieve maximum result.

Officer In charged, Department of States Security Service, OC Nurudeen Okunola  while receiving the council helmsman, noted some of the challenges of the department in the council area, he therefore requested Amb. Ogunsola Lanre led administration to make their presence felt in  Obafemi Owode  office.
In the same vein,  Mr. Akerele David, commandant, Amotekun Corps Area Command, Owode, appreciates the support of the council in providing a building as a take off 
office for there operation in the local government area.

He therefore requested the council boss to use his good office in assisting the command on the logistics, coupled with provision of vehicle to enhance the performance of the Corps in and around the council borders.

Commandant Akerele, further expressed his gratitude to the Community leaders for showing support in aliviating some challenges faced at the command .

Other dignitaries on the  Chairman's entourage includes, The Vice Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Olusesi Titus, Supervisor for health and special duties, Hon. Saula Taiwo, Special Adviser on Road maintenance, Hon. Noah. Aliu and Special Adviser on security, Hon. Gbenga Sofidiya, Special Adviser on protocol, Hon. Idowu Makinde, and Information crew.
