FOLLOWING difficulties encountered by Nigerians for the registration of National Identification Number (NIN) which is a mandatory requirement by the federal government that every citizen enrolls for NIN as this would mean an easier identification process that had been lacking. 
The Deputy Minority Whip, federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abdel-Majid Adesegun Adekoya in conjunction with a frontline Aspirant for the House of Assembly seat in Ijebu East State Constituency, Hon. Taiwo Jigan has sponsored a free NIN enrollment for the good people of Ijebu East local government.
The exercise was flagged off at Isomu in Ikija ward of Ijebu East on Monday 11th April, 2022 where it saw a large number of people who are yet to register for NIN.
It would be recalled that telecommunications service in Nigeria has began an enforcement by barring subscribers who are yet to link their phone numbers to their NINs, by not allowing them to make calls until the linkage is done.
To this end, the duo, Rt. Hon Abdel-Majid and the Ijebu East State Constituency aspirant, Hon. Taiwo Jigan facilitated "Free NIN Registration" exercise for more than 2000 people in the local government.
Speaking about the exercise, the Assembly hopeful, Hon. Jigan stated that the free NIN registration exercise was aimed at easing the financial burden and stress people would encounter in the process of getting captured by the National Identify Management Commission (NIMC).
One of the beneficiaries Identified as mama Tope said she was so happy when she heard some people are organizing free NIN registration.
She said " I quickly rushed down here to register. With this, I will be able to register my sim card and it will also be useful in the nearest future.
Other beneficiaries therefore prayed for the organizer saying that the duo 2023 ambition will be of success.
