ASLG PRESENTS PROPOSED N4,504, 766,340.00 BUDGET FOR YEAR 2022

Executive Chairman Abeokuta South Local Government has presented a budget proposal of N4,504,766,340.00 to the Legislative House of the Local Government for consideration and approval.

The budget christened " Budget of hope" showed a balanced  budget, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi JP said the capital expenditure of N584.000.000.00 include all purchases, rehabilitation, provision of infrastructures amongs others is geared towards providing amenities to all sectors of the society so that all could enjoy the dividends of democracy.

The Executive Chairman stressed the need for the LG to work collectively to improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the LG since the economic challenges facing the Nation has adversely affected the Monthly allocation from the Federation Account. He said that the collective efforts to increase IGR would ensure prudent management of all resources thus bringing  improvement in the living Standard of the people.

Responding, the Leader of the Legislative Council ASLG, Hon. Adenekan Kazeem expressed optimism that  the balanced gap within the 2022 budget would bring hope and succor to the people.

He said the Legislative Council is not unaware of the challenges facing the LG, State and Nigeria as a Nation. Hon. Adenekan assured that despite the situation, the Legislative would work together as one with the Executive Arm for the progress of the local government.
