BUDGET: Ogunsola presents Year 2022 Fiscal Budgets Proposal to the Legislative Council

The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, on Thursday presented the year 2022 Budgets to the Legislative Council, tagged " Budget of Securing Our Future Together".

While delivering his speech,  Amb. Ogunsola highlighted the importance of his  comittement toward it's actualisation so that dividends of democracy gets to the nooks and crannies of the local government as promised during his electioneering campaign.
The Council Boss expressed his profound gratitude to God for making it possible for him to present it's fiscal budgets to the Legislative Council.

According to the council boss" It is imperative that we jointly agree to leave an enduring legacy and make our landmarks on the sand of history, in line with this administration's strict commitment to the budgetary discipline", 

He further stated that, Year 2022 Appropriation Bill came out of wide ranging consultations and deliberations with various stakeholders across lengths and breadths  of the Local Government.
He therefore stressed that all efforts will be made to ensure  proper implementation of this year appropriation Bill as well as monitoring of its performance to maximize the dividends of democracy for the good people of Obafemi Owode Local Government.

Amb. Ogunsola later reviewed the Year 2021 Budgets, sighted the Challenges this administration experienced during the COVID-19 pandemics, as well as aftermath effects on the independent revenue, including socio-economic activities of the local government in the year 2021.

 Despite this, we will still note with satisfaction, that the programs, projects and policies were so far put in place to make sure that our administration continue to have positive impact on the living standards and well-being of our people.

Meanwhile, the Year 2021  Budget was N 2,926,033,780.00 as the total expenditure appropriated.

Some of the achievements highlighted in the past year which includes,

Grading of rural roads across the various wards in Obafemi Owode Local Government.

Completes Overhauling of 'Komatsu' engine plant grader and purchased of Six new tires.

Extensive Rehabilitation and Refurbishment of Chairman and Vice Chairman's Office.

Proposed and unveiling of Ultra modern shopping complex.

Others,includes ,the Proposed and unveiling of Ultra modern trailer park at degbe, Alapako.

Extensive Renovation and Refurbishment of Head of Local Government Administration and Secretary to the Local Government Office.

Renovation of Ajura Health Centre.

Renovation of Local Government Secretariat.

Distribution of writing and customized exercise books to pupils in our Primary and Secondary Schools.

The Executive Chairman, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina, there after presented the sum of N3,086,572,980.00 as Year 2022 Fiscal Budget to the Legislative Council while urged them for the speedy deliberations of the passage contained in the budgets as this will further  make  positive impacts in the lives of our people through people's oriented policies, programs and projects.

Ambassador Ogunsola later concluded that having put into considerations the limitation posed by  lack of adequate funds and ever increasing demands for public goods,
Hence, our administration remain focused in our determination to march on. He therefore urged the Legislative arm of the council to join hands with the Executives to set an enduring legacy in the Local Government. 

The Leader of the Legistive Council, Hon. Kayode Akinsola in his acceptance speech appreciated the Executive Chairman for his giant strides in taking Obafemi Owode Local Government to greater heights and promised his unalloyed support at all time,and further assured of speedy passage of the Budget with  cooperation from heads of departments where their  attention is needed.

 At the event we have; All the political functionaries,the councillors led by the Leader, Hon.Kayode Akinsola and Career Officers led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Fatai Ogundele.
