BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF NIGERIA, IJEBU ODE COUNCIL BOSS CHARGES CORPS MEMBERS

The Chairman, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Ogun State, Alhaji Babatunde EMILOLA-GAZAL, has charged members of the National Youth Service Corps, to be good ambassadors of the country.

The council boss gave the charge while speaking during an interactive session he held with the corps members at the local government secretariat, Itoro, on Wednesday.
He urged them to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, both in character and attitude, wherever they are posted for their primary assignment.

Describing the local government area as peaceful and accommodating, Alhaji EMILOLA-GAZAL, assured the corpers of adequate protection, and enjoined them to always feel free to come to his office or that of his Vice, Hon. Dare ALEBIOSU, when the need arises.

The Chairman, joined in the session, by his Vice, Hon. Dare ALEBIOSU, also described Ijebu Ode as a great city of great men and women, and gave an insight on some of its historical and cultural heritage, like the Obinrin Ojowu groove, the 16 Agemo deity, and the palace of Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode ADETONA, Ogbagba II, who was enthroned on the 2nd of April, 1960.
