Asiwaju Orile Imo, Chief Olakunle Celebrates Birthday With Novelty Football Match







The Good people of Orile Imo community in Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun State has today agog International football college in the community to celebrate the Asiwaju of Orile Imo Chief Olakunle Olalekan for his birthday.


The birthday celebration began with a novelty football match with the Asiwaju Foundation team and the football college team that ended 2-0 in favour of Asiwaju Foundation.


Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the match and presentation of cup and cash gift to the winner and first runner up, the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo community, Chief Olakunle Olalekan appealed to Ogun state government to invest in the sport sector in order to awaken the enormity of potentials in the youth.



He said there is need for the state government to invest hugely in the sport sector, adding that there are several economic benefits lurking up in it.

While commending the team on their performances, Asiwaju disclosed that the football match was an eye opener to the state government to understanding the importance of sport and its economic benefits.



He said “What we witnessed today is an eye opener and we have seen today shows that our youths are talented and they have all it takes to make Ogun state proud. 

He added “I am calling on the state state government to invest in sports this is how we can discover our youths. These guys are talented, they have great potentials in them. Investing in the sector will booster the economy of the state.
