SEGUN OGUNLEYE OF APC DECLARED WINNER OF IKENNE LG CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION

Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress has been declared winner, and returned elected as the Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, in the council polls held yesterday.

OGUNLEYE, according to the results released by the Chairman of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr. Babatunde OSIBODU, polled 8,238 votes to defeat Adeleke Albert ADESANYA of the People's Democratic Party, who polled 731 votes, while Saheed Bamidele OYEBAMIJI of the Action Alliance Congress, had 58 votes.

Total number of votes cast, according to the electoral umpire is 9,120, with 9,027 being valid votes, while 93 were invalid.
