High Chief, Tajudeen Omotayo, the Olori Ilu of Imope land, a community in Ijebu Igbo area of Ogun State was on Saturday abducted by some yet to be identified gunmen.
Available details of the circumstances in which the high Chief was abducted are still sketchy.
But the lawmaker representing Ijebu North 1 Hon Sylvester Abiodun in the state House of Assembly who confirmed the incident said he was shocked when he heard about it.
"I must be sincere with you, I was shocked when I heard it"
It was the same spot where one woman was kidnapped and shot sometimes ago that Olori Ilu was also kidnapped"
It would be recalled that this year, a woman, who was identified as Alhaja Morenikeji Salami, was shot by some suspected Fulani herdsmen in Oru Owa area of Ijebu North Local Government area of Ogun state.
The Lawmaker revealed that Oba Alade meta as popular called is One of the strong leaders in Buruji Kashamu group but due to anti Kasham activities by the people claiming to be Kashamites recently defected to APC (DA) who happens to be KASHAMU's friend adding that he is also a political father to him (Sylvester).
Our Correspondent gathered that Oba left his palace around 11 am in his butter colored special utility vehicle with plate number W 3J9 Ogun for Ijebu-Ode.
And on his way back home around 3:00pm, the unknown gun men accosted him at Okeeri of area of Imope and took him away leaving his vehicle on the road.
As at the time of filing the report, the state police command has not issued any official statement on the incident.
