This comes barely 24 hours after the Southwest governors and Fulani leaders reached a joint agreement to ban open grazing and under age grazing in the region which was in response to the threat by Sunday Igboho to drive Fulanis out of Ibarapa land and entire southwest.
Reacting to the attack on house, Igboho said the attack occurred by 1am and the arsonists thought he would be at home but their plans failed. He stated that those who responsible will be fished out and run mad in the next 48 hours.
Oyo state police has confirmed the attack and revealed Investigation has commenced into the incident while the Police is on the trail of the hoodlums.

According to report said the suspected arsonists arrived at Igboho's old residence at Soka and shot sporadically before setting the building on fire.

This was revealed in a post he made on Twitter handle. He said, “The arson happened at about 1am in the wee hours; they thought I was still in the house. I am safe and sound my people. You can’t kill a breeze. In 48hours the attacker would be revealed and would run mad. I have spoken”.
