Ogun Ajobo festival: Yoruba Youth Celebrates Alh. Owoeye for uplifting of Yoruba Culture
This year Ogun Ajobo festival celebration took another dimension as the Apex youth body of Yoruba(Yoruba Afenifere Youth Organizing of Nigeria) celebrates Alhaji Ganiyu Owoeye.
The yearly celebration which is always singlehandedly sponsored by Alhaji Ganiyu Owoeye, where all Yoruba sons and daughters comes around to celebrate with him
This year celebration was done at his hotel residence at Atan where many Yoruba dignitaries and Kings were also present to celebrate this historical event together.
Among the dignitaries and kings that present there were Oba Alatan of Atan,olota of Ota,also notable politician and some member of the NURTW also grace the day,among them were Iyeru,Sego,and many more while the music were supply by sheu Fuji himself Wasiu Alabi Pasuma
One of the high point of the event was when the award was presented to Alhaji and received by one of his P.A.
In his address at the presentation,the Ogun state chiarman of the Group Com Sodeinde said that the decision to honour Alhaji came at a meeting of the group after there has been observations over time that Alhaji has been promoter of culture and an humanitarian to the core
He said Alhaji combined modernization, Education, Religion and culture together without allowing allowing one to affect the other
He further said that he is an international man if repute and his philanthropist gesture is seen and obvious every where.
It's on this premises and others that he was awarded.
The chiarman now encourage others Yoruba sons and daughters to emulate Alhaji Ganiyu Owoeye and encourage the development and growth of Yoruba Race.
