Obafemi Owode Local Government under the leadership of Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA wishes to express our deepest condolences on the demise of the former First Lady, Chief (Mrs.) Lucia ONABANJO, Wife of the First Executive Governor of Ogun State, Late Chief Bisi ONABANJO who joined the saints on 12th January,2026 at the ripe age of 101.
Late Chief (Mrs.) ONABANJO lived a fulfilled life, with no exception to the development of our great state, Ogun State. During her life, Mama was a pillar of strength, a symbol of grace who stood firmly beside her husband to set legacy as the First Civilian Governor in Ogun State. Her contribution to the development of women and family values remain part of lingering legacy she left behind.
Though her death is a great loss to the government both at the State and Nation, as we pray for her eternal rest.
Accept our deepest condolences as the government and the good people of Obafemi Owode Local Government.
Rest in peace, Mama Lucia ONABANJO.
