Ikereku Council of Chiefs in Abeokuta Ogun State have warned all Baales at Ogunmakin in Obafemi-Owode Local Government to steer clear of the Obaship tussle in the Community.
The event took place on Thursday 5th June, 2024 at Debonre Village where all Baales in the environs usually gather for meeting which is every 8th day to charting the discuss on how to have peaceful coexistence amongst themselves, but the one held Thursday 5th of June was otherwise which went against the Authority of the land that chose the intending Oba, Chief Busari Ayinde Olashile and that culminated unannounced visit of Ikereku Council of Chiefs into the meeting warned them to desist from preventing the ascension of the Olu Ogunmakin designate, Chief Olashile
Meanwhile, the delegation from the Ikereku Council of Chiefs asked them why did they staged a protest against whom the Ifa Oracle has chosen and therein, the Head of Baales in the areas, Chief Sufianu Ariyo Sobowale refuted that they are not part of the tussle in the Land.
Head of Baales in the areas, Chief Sobowale further enunciated that they cannot go against the Authority of Ikereku Chiefs of Council in the intention and by the Ifa Oracle pronouncement which has already chosen the Olu of Ogunmakin and that is: Chief "Busari Ayinde Olashile". Stated that some culprits in the land are now conniving with certain individuals in the town to scuttle the earliest arrangements of Kinship and these are Oladipupo Oke popularly called "Baba Elelede" and the likes
While asking one of the regents who came along with the delegates to Debonre Village at Ogunmakin in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Chief Oluranti Ajani Shodehinde, Apena Ilu Ikereku and Baale of Ikereku Igboland/Ewekoro Local Government added that the rulling house in Ogunmakin had presented three candidates and according to the extant law and in line with the dictates of Ifa Oracle has chosen Chief Busari Ayinde Olashile with the pronouncement of "Eji-Ogbe" on him which signified him the next Olu Ogunmakin that should ascend the stool of his forefathers.
However, 26 Baales were in the meeting, these were: Baale Alapako Oni, Baale Oke Odo, Baale Oyebola, Baale Debonre, Baale Ogunmakin Oju Oja, Baale Seriki Sotayo, Baale Ogunmakin Abule, Baale Akindele, Baale Araba, Baale Laraba, Baale Imo Lisa, Baale Ijana Alapako, Baale Sanra, Baale Degbin, Baale Owojo, Baale Layanran, Baale Olosun momo and Baale Gbalagada.
Others Baales were: Baale Fadipe, Baale Araba, Baale Bere Ola, Baale Layanran, Baale Sotiyo, Baale Liyide, Baale Bereolu, Baale Adeniyi, Baale Derupatan, Baale Olosun Abudu, Baale Olosu Adegbesan, Baale Mosafejo, Baale Leragun, Baale Bankole, Baale Olorunda, Baale Olorunsogo and Baale Sounmi.
