Hon. Wahab Supports Education In Ketu Constituency, Visits Agbon-Ojodu Schools

Member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wahab Haruna Abiodun Egungbohun, representing Ketu State Constituency (II), has donated N200,000 to Community High School, Agbon-Ojodu, to support the school's bid for National Examination Council (NECO) approval.

Hon. Egungbohun made the donation during a courtesy visit to the school and Community Primary School Agbon-Ojodu, where he assessed the challenges facing the Schools. 

The principal, Community High School, Agbon-Ojodu, Mr. Giwa Lateef, explained some of the challenges the school has been facing and gave a brief on his efforts since the day he was transferred to the school.

Mr Lateef hinted that the school efforts is to create a conducive learning environment and its desire to participate in NECO examinations. 

He revealed that the school just commenced the first WAEC examination this year and also the school management is proposing for NECO approval as well.

While responding to the request of the school principal, Hon Wahab donated a sum of Two hundred thousand naira (#200,000) to the school management as intervention for the quick NECO approval so the that the school can partake in coming examination. 

The lawmaker commended the principal and headteacher for their dedication and encouraged them to continue their good work. 

He also acknowledged the contributions of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to education in the State, particularly in the rehabilitation of school buildings.

Hon. Wahab equally praised the efforts of the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen Olamilekan Adeola Yayi who he said has made significant impact in the state despite being in office for less than a year.

The lawmaker also awarded a sum of Fifty thousand naira N50,000 to Edun Philip, a JSS 2 student who came first in the last interview/examination conducted by the ASSUS, and N20,000 to Faloye Grace, the best student in JSS 3, to encourage them to focus on their education.

Also speaking, Mr. Olukoya Thomas, the UNIQUE CLUB pioneer president, explained the efforts of the UNIQUE CLUB and the community so far, trying their possible best to make the school compete with other schools in the city.
