For the immeasurable developmental feats and infrastructural manifestation in Obafemi-Owode Local Government, the residents have again commended the Local Government Chairman, Ambassador Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, FCPA on the recent roads rehabilitation within the Local Government Area which is in consonance to complement the efforts of Ogun State Government.
The exercise which commenced last year to ease the movements of farm produce to major markets within the Council Area and to provide links to urban centres.
Ambassador Ogunsola, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Road Maintenance, Mr Noah Aliu, revealed that, communities that are presently undergoing road upgrading include Kajola, Itori Oke, Itori Isale, Saare, Akogun, Eriti, Ijeja, Ajade, Olubiyi, Oke- Egan, Oke Ogbun, Igbore, Asero and Jaguna villages, all in Oba Ward 07 with Moloko Asipa in Ward 6, Alafia Community Kobape, Church Street off jake road Kobape.
The Council Chairman then assured other parts of the Council Area that are yet to receive the attention of the government in the ongoing grading of roads, to remain calm, as graders will be moved to their respective communities as soon as possible
Amb. Ogunsola also called on all residents of the Local Government to continue to support the administration by paying their taxes, dues and other levies to the coffers of the Government in other to enjoy more dividends of democracy across the board.
In their various responses, Mr Yekini Yusuf, CDA Chairman, Alafia Community, Kobape and Hon. Idowu Fasanya Adele Oba Kobape, Moloko Asipa Ward appreciated the council boss for coming to their aid in the road grading which in the past has been a concern to the community.
Similarly, Pastor Oriyomi Adisa from Oba Ward commended both the State and Local Governments respectively for the quick interventions as it comes at a time when farmers needed it most in other to ease the difficulties experienced in transporting their produce to the markets and the final consumers.
