The Baales and youths in Orile Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Ogun State have rejoiced with Asiwaju Of Orile-Imo , High Chief Dr. Olakunle Olalekan on his award of excellence in community development.
The award was bestowed on him on Thursday by the Southwest Legendary held at Obasanjo Presidential Library event centre, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The Baales and youths maintained that High chief Olakunle deserves the award, saying that he has contributed immensely to the development of the community.
Baale Fere in Orile Imo, Chief Okesola who spoke on behalf of the baales said Asiwaju is an outstanding community leader who has blessed so many people in the community.
He said " the Southwest legendary group has chosen the right man for the great honor. Asiwaju of Orile Imo is a man of the people, we were not surprised when we heard about the good news because he deserves it , he is a man of the people and he has done well for the people of the community, especially the baales and chiefs. He carries us along and makes us happy at all times.
The youth leader of Orile Imo, Chief Olorunsogo Jimoh also congratulated Asiwaju on the honorary award, saying that the youths are happy about it.
Chief Olorunsogo who spoke on behalf of the youths in Orile Imo said all the youths are behind Asiwaju of Orile Imo, saying that he deserves to be their king, adding that he has brought about development into the community.
According to him, High Chief Olakunle is loved by the youths and they are in support of him to fill the vacancy of Orile Imo stool.
