ACMF  Foundation honours four Ogun teachers for punctuality, donates educational materials

In order to celebrate Cultural Day in Schools as well as encourage their tutors to continue to give their best, the Accurate - Creative Minds Foundation ( ACMF) has honoured four teachers in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The teachers are from Premier Grammar School, Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar School, St. John's Anglican High School and St. Peters' College, Olomoore, Abeokuta.

They  were honoured for their punctuality to school in the month of February.

Those honoured are Mr. Akinola Timothy, Mr. Musari Segun, Mrs Salako Ibiyemi and Mr Adenekan Monsuru.

Speaking after the presentation, the Founder and Director of Accurate - Creative Minds Foundation, Mr. Babatunde Odedele, said the project was to celebrate the teachers while they are alive and also to motivate them for their hard work.

He noted that the organization target was to change the narrative as well as put in the subconscious of the teachers to give their best at all times.

He said " The project today was a school tour. We are not just entering school and going out, no, we went into the schools, about four schools in Abeokuta to appreciate the teachers, majorly the most punctual teachers for the month of February. As you know, February 21st is a Cultural Day in Ogun State, which all the schools celebrate the culture.

We picked one teacher each from the schools to celebrate them for being punctual and also motivate others that whatever you are doing, a group of people, organisation, government agencies are observing".

Odedele stated "It is to say just doing what you are doing. The recipients of today's gifts, it met them as a shock. One woman that we picked almost shed tears because she didn't believe it. The gift is Just to say that some people are here to change the narrative".

On the foundation, he explained "This is a foundation that sees to enlightenment and empowerment of the youths. There is gap between the youths and realities of the world, we just need to enlighten the youths and also to empower them.

He added "We are trying to work on the mindset and psychology of the youth. When the mind can think straight, it will be easy for such person to be productive in life".

One of the recipients, Mr Timothy said the honour made him to know there is reward in doing the best thing.

He said the gifts would increase his instinct of coming early to school everyday.

To Mr Musari, " I felt elated, I couldn't believe this will come, it is God that has predestined it. This will enable me to do more, to know that every effort there is always reward , this will make me to do my work diligently the more".

Mrs Salako said the honour caught her unaware, commending the foundation and sponsors for the kind gesture.

She stated "Ku se, lomori ise ya ( well-done , encourages hardwork). This will ginger me to do more. I will not relent in coming to school early and do what I am expected to do ".

"I feel great and honoured among all the staff of the school to be chosen as the most punctual, I am so happy, it is a great honour", Mr Adenekan stated.

He added " it is a challenge to me to do more, not only on punctuality, to do more even in teachings and for the school to  develop. The gift is not for me alone but for the school".
