IBADAN EXPLOSION: DEATH TOLL RISES TO FIVE

Yesterday, the State Government in Oyo State said death toll from the explosion that rocked the City in Ibadan on Tuesday, January 16 has risen to five.
The unpleasant incident which  caused many houses damaged in the explosion spanned a 14 - Kilometer radius. And according to the preliminary investigation by security agencies revealed to the correspondent of  caveattimes online newspaper that the explosion was caused by explosive devices stored by illegal miners.

In a statement by the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde mentioned it on Tuesday that two deaths were recorded; further adding that one more victim died in a hospital on Wednesday coupled with seven people who were injured in the blast on Tuesday night at Bodija in Ibadan.
Recently, in a new update last night, that is on Thursday, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Fatai Owoseni submitted that two more bodies have be recovered while rescue operation is still ongoing.
