The Egbe Degbuyi Remo has given a boost to education in Remoland, as it sponsors the registration of some students in the forthcoming West African Examinations Council's Senior School Certificate Examination, and also donates exercise books to primary schools in the zone.
The foremost socio-cultural age-grade group in Remoland, is embarking on this gesture, as part of its core mandate of giving back to the society through its various social intervention initiatives, and in particular, in its effort at giving a boost to education, while also lending a supportive hand to the needy and the less-privileged in its immediate environment.
It will be recalled that the group had in the past carried out similar interventions through its donation of various food items, toiletries, beverages, and medical supplies to orphanages and health centres across Remoland, as well as contribution to community development programmes and projects.
