The Council Boss in a statement, expressed his deepest gratitude to the Leadership of the Commission for their unwavering support to all members of Staff in the twenty Local Governments for the improved quality Service Delivery.
"It gives me immense pleasure to extend my warmest greetings and join the Local Government Service Commission in celebrating Year 2023 Local Government Service week tagged; "The renewed Local Government Service."
The Chairman, while commending the Commission stated that, this Year's programme encapsulates the essence of Collaboration, Unity and Power among staffers.
"For us in Abeokuta North Local Government, we remain committed to Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON administration towards achieving common goals of the Commission, and better performance of the Local Government workers." Adebayo Ayorinde added.
Activities lined up for the programme as contained in a circular letter from the Local Government Service Commission indicate
that the Ogun Local Government Service Week will commence from
Friday, 10th November, 2023 with a programme on Ogun State Television, OGTV (New Dawn) by 7.45am to be followed by a Jumat Service at Federal Secretariat Central Mosque, Oke‐Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State by 1.00pm.
On Sunday, 12th November, 2023 a Special thanksgiving Service will hold at St. Sebastian Catholic Church Bonojo, Ijebu-Ode by 10.00am.
Also, there will be Medical Outreach/Charity programme on Monday, 13th November, 2023 at family Health Center, Oke-Ilewo, in Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun State.
Leslie Health Center Ilaro, Italapo Health Center, Ijebu-Ode and Makun Health Center, Sagamu by 10.am respectively.
In the same vein, the programme will also feature a public lecture on Tuesday, 14th November, 2023 at Obas Complex, Governor's office, Oke-Mosan,
Abeokuta by 10.ooam.
On Wednesday, 15th November 2023, there will be road show, from Service Commission to Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake by 9.00am and round off the day's activities with a Novelty football match between male Political functionaries/Career Staff versus female Political functionaries/Career Staff at the Moshood Kasimawo Abiola, International stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta around 2.00pm.
The grand finale of the One-Week programme will be brought to a close on Thursday, 16th November, 2023 with red carpet by 12.oopm and Gala night, award of Excellence at DLK events Center, Abeokuta around 2.oopm.
The primary aims and objectives of the programme is to position the Ogun State Local Government as a reference point and a trailbaliser in Local Government administration in Nigeria.
