As part of the activities marking the 42nd birthday celebration of IBD Foundation Co-Founder, Mrs Omolara Dende Egungbohun recently concluded two days skill acquisition programme.
The empowerment courses were streamlined into photography/cinematography, Wig making, Cake Making, Adire Making, Cocktail, Digital marketing, Soap Making, Lashes Extension, Make Up amongst others held at NOUN University Ilaro Study center .
No Fewer than five thousands participants from the free empowerment programme and they were all issued a certificate of participation.
Before the commencement of the knowledged based empowerment programme, the organizer, Mrs Omolara Dende had took to her verified Facebook page to announced that the program does not involve distribution of money or gifts. Instead, it aims at providing knowledge and training on skills to help individuals succeed in their chosen fields and contribute to the development of the community.
Part of the post which reads in part says "It is not intended for elderly citizens, and the program does not involve distributing money or gifts. Instead, it aims at providing knowledge and training on skills to help individuals succeed in their chosen fields and contribute to the development of the community."
"It is important to ensure that the registration process is streamlined and that participants choose only one method of registration to avoid confusion. This will help facilitate a smooth and efficient process for everyone involved."
The two days workshop also featured experts and instructors in different courses focusing on how young men and women can create sustainable businesses and become job creators
Dignitaries at the last day of the event included the Minister of State for Environment, ably represented by Hon. Tunde Okewole, member Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wahab Abiodun Egungbohun, representing Yewa North (I I) Ketu State Constituency, HRM Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye
(Olu of Imasayi-Yewa), HRM, Oba Ololade Makinde (Oniwoye of Iwoye Kingdom) and HRM Oba Oyebanji Adetunji Oladapo (Oloja of Oja-Odan).
In her remarks, the IBD Foundation Co-Founder, Mrs Omolara Dende explained that she thought of doing something differently to celebrate her this year birthday, therefore several instructors were contacted to come for training class for all participants who registered for the empowerment programme.
On their separate remarks, the three monarchs commended the organizer appealed to all participants to make use of the empowerment opportunity.
On their parts, the representative of the minister, Hon. Okelewo and Ogun lawmaker, Hon. Wahab Abiodun Egungbohun who equally appreciate the organizers expressed optimism that the program would help to take youths off the street through vocational education.
Mrs Olubayo, one of the beneficiaries commended the organizer said "I am excited that this type of programme was organised and I must say that I am fortunate to be part of the programme."
