A former House of Assembly Aspirant in Abeokuta North local government of Ogun State, Engr. Shokunle Owolabi Afeez popularly known as Niyas has felicitated with Muslims in the country on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In his message, Niyas urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice which the Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes.
The statement according to him "felicitate with all Muslim brothers and sisters on the celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
He said "I join my Muslims faithful to mark this auspicious celebration, I urge everyone to imbibe the lesson of sacrifice that it symbolizes".
Niyas also urged his constituents especially Muslims ones to emulate the righteousness and virtues of Prophet Muhammad, adding that the essence of the celebration was to offer sacrifice and express and extend love to one another.
He therefore prayed that "May the blessings of Almighty Allah fill our lives with happiness and open all the doors of success now and always."
Again, I say Eid-el-Kabir to all my Muslim brothers and sisters, Niyas wishes.
