POLITICAL DEBATE: SHUAIB, AFUAPE, PHILLIPS FEATURE, PROMISE RESTORATION, INFRASTRUCTURES IN CONSTITUENCIES

As watchdog of the society and agenda-setting role by giving a window to every salable idea before the electorate, Nigeria Union of Journalists in Ogun State featured Alhaji Salis Shuaib, All Progressives Congress Candidate representing Ogun Senatorial Seat, Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Fikayomi Philips, Labour Party Candidate representing Abeokuta South House of Representative and Hon. Moruf Afolabi Afuape, APC Candidate representing Abeokuta South House of Representative live in 2023 NUJ Political debate held today Thursday February 2nd, 2023.

Answering some questions on how to address footling hardship in the Constituencies  
posing to masses most especially, today's youths, Hon.Tolulope Philips said if elected, he would legislate on the the needs of his people in the Constituency by ensuring them the availability of water system in whom he said he would buy two drilling machines for Abeokuta South State Constituencies and that will access them to the boreholes water in the area.

Alhaji Salis Shuaib positioned that if given the mandates, he would provide Ogun Central with skills business development service and orientation; explained further that; there would be legislation  that would interface between the Federal Government and State Government, ensuring the Technical Schools in the Senatorial to become hub of trade and opportunities of internship and it would be actualised by negotiating with big companies around which would avail the youths to have practical experience of what they have learnt in the various course of studies.

Hon. Afuape, as concern the question made it known that if elected, he would propose the bill that tend to tailor the educational system towards making the youths more independent, engaging the youths in re-training and in doing that, said it would set-in choosing employments in their various fields

Ogun NUJ Chairman, Comrade Akinwale Olanrewaju in a remark after the conclusion of the debate thanked all the Candidates present, said the exercise was ensured to enable candidates to marshal their ideas before the electorates while annoucing to them that next edition of such forum  is the Gubernatorial debate on February 12, 2023 at Cultural Center Abeokuta, the State Capital.
