ASLG TODAY: COUNCIL CHAIRMAN DOLES OUT CASH GIFTS, GIVES LIVE CHICKENS

Despite the cash crunch in the Local Governments, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government Hon Omolaja Majekodunmi JP has put a smile on the faces of the members of staff today; he gave out some amount of money to each member of staff in the LG to support their pecuniary engagement towards the New Year celebration while a few also collected live chickens.

The bonus which cut across all cadres in the Local Government Staffers ranges from level 1 to 17 was made to look after the welfare of members of staff.

Hon. Omolaja, in his statement, declared to the workers that the gestures were made to appreciate workers' unflinching support given to him to improve the developments of the Local Government Areas since the outset of his emergence as the Council Chairman.

He charged them not to rest on their oars and advised them to be proactive and creative in discharging their duties which he said could stand out in the Local Government among all.

The Chairman Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, ASLG, Comrade Odunayo Ogunwemimo, and his Team who went to meet the Council Chairman in his office appreciated him for the wonderful surprise of today, Wednesday 28th of December 2022, however, promised the helmsman total support of the workers throughout his tenure in Office.
