The working visit which availed the Commission of prevailing situations in the working environment and the level of an acquaintance of the workers with their job schedules at the third tier of Government would provide the right solution to the identified challenges.
The Commission boss who was accompanied to the event by members of the full-time Commissioners, the Management Team of the Commission, and other Principal Officers of the LGSC were in attendance.
At the event, Barr. Onabanjo further professed that as a government at the grassroots, the welfare of the Local Government Employees should be satisfied at all times, and given this, she added that the visit would prefer suggestions and other modalities necessary for the improvement of members of staff for them to improve more on their efficiency in the discharge of duties.
The three phases of the event began with the Political functionaries in the Local Government where concerned matters were shared thereafter had another meeting with the Executives of the Zonal Community Development Council (CDC) in ASLG and with the entire workforce of the Local Government.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi who welcomed the LGSC Chairman, entourage, and other senior members of staff for the One-day working visit nonetheless appreciated them. Explained to them that the members of staff are very wonderful and cooperating in terms of ensuring the progression of the LG.
However, the Head of the Local Government Administration of the LG, Administrator Wole Adeosun appreciated His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun on behalf of the entire workforce for the prompt payment salary and speedy conduct of the promotion as well as conversion/upgrading recently done for the staffers in the Local Governments. He made known to the LGSC Chairman that the diligent disposition of the members of staff in the area of improving Internally Generated Revenues and punctuality have distinguished Mrs. B Akano; from Finance and Supplies and Mr. Kamilu Alani Babalola to receive the Award of Excellence for their commitment in the service delivery which was presented to them by the LG Chairman, Hon. Majekodunmi.
In that regard, the Chairman LGSC, Barrister Onabanjo reiterated to the members of staff to be serious-minded and also have a passion for excellence in their various works. He appealed to the HOLGA in the LG to begin ensuring in-service training for the staffers of the LG for this would avail them to have the best while another presentation of "Award of Worthy Ambassador" was presented to the Director of Management Services in the LGSC, Mr. Lekan Oderinde by the Council Boss, Hon. Majekodunmi JP.
