While addressing journalists the new board chairman appreciated the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for seeing her fit to wear the tailor-made albeit colossal shoes saying that with the help of each and every one in the company, they shall triumph.

Dr. Hafsat who also pomised to engage more women in its operation said that women are vital for societal development, hence, the need to engage them in key economic sectors.

She noted that the partnership of China and Ogun State, Nigeria will boost the development and growth of the host community.

The new chairman further said the FTZ will work in harmony with the Igbesa community leaders in executing its planned Corporate Social Responsibility.

Her words, "I am going to make sure we do a lot with the women. So far, so good, nothing like that is on ground but, taking over as a new chairman is one of the projects I am going to embark on. That's why I am going to take women along.

"Once you take on building women, it's like building a nation. This is one of the first projects I will embark on; that's carrying women along."

Dr Oduwole added, "The royal fathers and community leaders are all here. We will work very well together. Also, we have CRS in place that take care of so many things in place that take care of so many things for the community.

"We don't have a problem working together and they have been giving us everything. In other parts of the state, the security is not stable but here in Igbesa, there is security.

"That is to show that we are working well with the people."

The new chairman further stated that quality products are made at the FTZ, adding that the products are also affordable for Nigerians.

Dr Oduwole said, "I have been in the system and also, I have travelled far and wide; what I am seeing here, the quality can compete with any tiles in any part of the world.

"If you tell anybody these tiles are from Spain, nobody will argue with you. That is the quality.

"I was asking the manager just now about the floor tiles I saw, because they look new, and how long they have been there; he told me since 2016. That is the quality they have.

"Even some they brought from abroad, give it two years, they will be fading. You have very good quality and because of that, we have saleable products.

"When you have saleable products, you're going to make money. You sell to make money.

"All the raw materials they use here are locally sourced, definitely, the price is going to be low compared to what is imported. The price is not going to be too expensive," the new chairman said.

On his parts, Oloja Ekun of Igbesa, Oba AbdulAzeez Oluwatoyin Akinde noted that the community will continue to support the trade zone for the benefit of all.
