A batch "B" 2020 corps member, Adeniji Sodiq Odunayo on Friday donated sets of school uniforms, books and pens to 20 indigent
pupils of Modern pilot central primary school, Bokkos, Jos.
Odunayo who was accompanied by his colleague, Adegbasa Gabriel Babatunde to the school to distribute the items said the beneficiaries were drawn from primary 1 to primary 5 randomly.
He told our correspondent that the kind gesture was done out of his generosity and to cushion the burden of parents and give the less privileged students opportunity to study.
Odunayo who is a graduate of University of Lagos currently posted to Jos for his NYSC program said he embarked on the charity mission because he has pledged to embrace the clarion call and to deliver a selfless service to any community he finds himself.
He added that it's long time project that if he still have capacity, he will do more beyond expectation.
Odunayo also use the opportunity to advise his co corps members to use any position they find themselves to extend hands of generosity saying that they should not wait until they become rich before they can give helping hand.
He therefore appealed to wealthy people to invest more in the life of the young generation, saying that their little help will go along way.
While receiving the items, Mrs. Bundung Ungai Samson appreciated Odunayo for the kind gesture advising other Corps Members to emulate.
She therefore assured him that the items will be given to the pupils accordindly adding that proper monitoring will be done on it.
