IKLG BOSS, OGUNLEYE SEEKS TRADERS SUPPORT, AS NEW IYALOJA-GENERAL IS INSTALLED

The Executive Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Olusegun OGUNLEYE, has sought the cooperation and support of traders towards the development of the local government area.

The Chairman made this appeal on Friday at Iperu Remo, while speaking at the installation of the new Iyaloja-General of the local government, Dame Adesola Oluyinka ADEBUTU, KJW.
Hon. OGUNLEYE enjoined the market men and women to always support the local government through regular payment of taxes, levies and rates.
This according to him will assist the council in the delivery of  democracy dividends to the people.

He assured the traders of the government's plan at rebuilding the Akesan Market at Iperu, the project which will soon commence.

The Council boss appreciated the Iyaloja-General for her support to his administration, as he also urged the traders to continue to support his administration and that of the Governor ABIODUN-led state government.
He commended the governor for his giant strides in the local government area as reflected in the rehabilitation of health and education infrastructures; and  construction of roads and the Agro Cargo Airport.

Prayers were offered to the newly-installed Iyaloja by the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale AJAYI; and the Onirolu of Irolu, His Royal Highness, Oba Sikiru ADEYIGA.

Responding, the Iyaloja, Dame Adesola ADEBUTU, thanked the Council Boss, Royal Fathers, Oloris, Chiefs, Market Men and Women, and all those who supported her emergence as the Iyaloja-General, and promised to justify the confidence repose in her.

Present at the event were the host Royal Father, the Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke IDOWU-BASIBO; Oba Segun LAYADE, the Alara Odaye of Ife, who represented the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan OGUNWUSI; Members of the Remo Traditional Council; Vice Chairman, Ikenne Local Government, Hon. Bolanle FAKOYA; the Lisa Aje of Egbaland, Hon. Chief. Oladipupo ADEBUTU, who represented the Odole Oodua, Sir Kesington ADEBUTU;  Iyaloja-General of Remoland, Chief (Mrs.) Mercy OWOLANA; and Iyalojas-General from the other zones of Ogun State; and members of the Alaperu-in-Council.
