COMRADE JIMOH ALLIU BABATUNDE EMERGES AS NEW NULGE BRANCH CHAIRMAN, IFO LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE) and Director of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Department Ifo, Comrade Ayuba Akanji Olatunji, implored the contestants and the entire staff to be more  faithful and allow peace to reign during and after the election so that apart from having free and fair election a good template would be laid for subsequent elections and everybody would live in harmony. He made this known during the Ifo Nulge election between the Transformation team and the New Dawn Agenda team.

Before the commencement of the election, the outgoing Caretaker Nulge Chairman, Comrade Omolade Yinka, presented an award to Alhaji Mukaila Sulaimon, as 'Majority king'  for supporting the Union at all time.

Comrade Jimoh Babatunde, of the Transformation team has emerged as the new branch Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee Ifo Local Government chapter.

The branch election which was conducted and held under the peaceful atmosphere by electoral NULGE officers from the state at Ifo Local Government Secretariat was free and fair election.

Comrade Jimoh Alliu Babatunde scored a total number of 240 votes against his opponent, Comrade Johnson Adeosun Oluwaseun of the New dawn Agenda team who had 90 votes.

Other Executive members who emerged at the poll were:
1.  Comrade Ogunkoya Tunde - Vice - Chairman;
2.  Comrade Wasiu Akindele - Secretary
3.  Comrade Adio Azees - Assistant Secretary;
4.  Comrade Agegenu Joseph - Treasurer;
5.  Comrade  Idowu Damilare -Auditor;
6.  Comrade Adams Saheed - Trustee;
7.  Comrade Ajayi Sunday - Young worker;
8.  Comrade Adekoya Bose - Chairperson.

While reading his acceptance speech, after the swearing- in of the newly elected exco, the new Chairman, Comrade Jimoh Alliu Babatunde, appreciated the members of Staff and the State Exco for conducting free and fair election and most especially for exhibiting transparency in the conduct of the election.
He  stressed further by appreciating and giving kudos to the Head of Local Government Admisration, Mrs. Akintande Taiwo, for her motherly role and advising their team time to time.
