SALLAH CELEBRATIONS: IJEBU ODE LG BOSS ENJOINS MUSLIMS TO CELEBRATE MODESTLY

The Chairman, Transition Committee, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga OLUGBILE, has enjoined Muslims in the local government area, to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival with all sense of modesty.

Engr. OLUGBILE, according to a release from the council's Director of Information, Education, and  Sports, Tope OYEKAN, urged the indigenes and residents of the local government to celebrate modestly and responsibly during the sallah festival.

He implored them to live during and after the celebration, a life full of piety, sacrifice, peace and self denial, which the season symbolises.

While wishing all a happy and rewarding celebration, he charged them to observe necessary COVID-19 protocols in view of the recently-detected Delta variant of the pandemic, while assuring of security of lives and properties by law enforcement agencies and security operatives in Ijebu Ode and its environs.
