UK Based Security Expert, Solola Berates Gov Abiodun's Administration Over Education System

Ogun State government has been charged to invest more in education system by providing adequate class rooms and qualitative teachers for better learning.

The government was also advised to look for means of making education free especially to primary and secondary schools in the state.

Olufemi Solola gave the charged in an interview with our reporter on Friday.

Solola, a UK based security expert said the education system in Ogun State should be affordable but reverse is the case.

He hinted that students find it difficult to learn due to the dilapidated class rooms and inadequate provision of enough teachers in their schools.

According to him "In ogun state some of the student cannot even afford the stationary, the textbooks they can't even afford it, so that the problem that we have and some can't even afford to pay the tuition fees in the university some people can not even go to university simply because they cannot afford to pay the money."

"The education system in ogun state is not affordable, not qualitative and if you look at some of the pupils in primary school some of them go to school with torn uniform some of them go to school even without uniform and they go to school bear footed, this should not happen at all not only that look at the class room some of this classrooms are leaking some of them don't even have chairs , some of the  classroom s are not even floored."

"It shouldnt be the case and ogun state is blessed with more than enough human and natural resources with which we have the qualitative education and not only that, we don't even have enough teachers to teach this children excellently well and not only that some of this kids cannot even afford the cost of education."

"I am not saying that the government should buy textbook for all the student in primary or secondary School but the government should ensure that there are more than enough textbooks in the library for the student to use in the classroom, he concluded.
