Olota Honours Sholebo with Borokini of Awori Kingdom

The Olota of Ota/Awori kingdom, Oba Adeyemi AbdulKabir Obalanlege will on Saturday confer a chieftaincy title of Borokini of Awori Kingdom on the Ogun State Chairman of Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO), Comrade Sotayo Olusola Rasak, popularly known as Sholebo.

A statement by the ROMO Media Team in Abeokuta on Friday noted that, the Chieftaincy title is in recognition of Sholebo's unprecedented contribution to the socioeconomic development of Ota/Awori land and Ogun State in general.

The ROMO boss has been described as an embodiment of greatness, a trail blazer and a remarkable archiver who has brought unparallel development to the transportation sector in the State.

As a philanthropist, Sholebo has not only positively touched the lives of indigenes of Ota/Awori land, but he has also provided employment opportunities to thousands of Ogun youths thereby putting smiles on their faces.

It would be recalled that, Governor Dapo Abiodun had recently commended Sholebo for improving on the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State through robust mechanism put in place by Sholebo to pluck leakages in revenue generation from transport unions in the State.

The Governor emphasised that, in just one year of ROMO, the union has raised the revenue of State in the transport sector.

Sholebo was also lauded for his leadership acumen and commitment to the overall development of the State.

Sholebo has also been described as a worthy leader whose leadership style has brought about a positive turn around in the transportation sector.

The entire Ota/Aworiland will be agog for the honour of the eminent son of the soil who is greatly loved by the people of Ota/Awori for his good deeds and philanthropic gestures.

"The honour is well deserving because of your huge contribution to the socioeconomic development of Ota/Awori land and Ogun State.

"You brought sanity into an industry that is largely considered as being violence, this and others are what that have engendered our Royal Father, Oba Adeyemi AbdulKabir Obalanlege and the entire Ota/Awori people to you.

"You remained steadfast even in the face of persecution during the last administration and for your resilience and hard work come a reward and honour as the Borokini of Awori Kingdom.

"This only goes to show that Ota/Awori people are great people who are not only hardworking, but also loyal to a good course, a good example is Her Excellency, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State.

"We have no doubt in our mind that this Chieftaincy title is an encouragement for you to do more for your people and your State.
