In the quest to re-ensure traffic compliance in Abeokuta South Local Government, the Chairman Transition Committee, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide and the members have inaugurated Traffic Mayors that will control and guide vehicular misconducts at the Council Area.
The recruit of the Cops is evident to support the Ogun State Government in the guise to abate illicit driving and riding of the motorists/riders in the inbound and outbound of Abeokuta South Local Government Area.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman Transition Committee ASLG, Hon. Shomide detailed that the purpose of the established cops is to control, regulate or enforcing all traffic laws in any part of ASLG, added that the inaugurated paramilitary outfit at the Council should primitive to protect and enhance the safety of all road users through their quality service delivery to all motoring public and to ensure perfect reduction in road traffic accident/crashes at the Council Area.
The Director Planning and Statistics Ogun State Traffic Compliance and enforcement (TRACE), Michael Ajayi reteirated, however charged the Traffic Mayors at the Council to ensure good dispositions in the process of discharging their duties, expressed that any Maverick action aimed at their duties would be tantamount to prosecution in the court of law.
