One Year Anniversary: ROMO Chairman, Sholebo Hails Gov. Abiodun, OGHA

The Ogun State Chairman of Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO), Comrade Sotayo Olusola Rasak, popularly known as Sholebo has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for unflinching support for the union for the past one year.

Sholebo also commended the Ogun State House of Assembly for the unalloyed support for the union in the last one year.

He noted that ROMO, as a union is a product of the ingenuity of the Abiodun-led administration.

The ROMO chairman also hailed all members of the union for their steadfastness, doggedness and sacrifice for the growth of the union.

"Exactly a year ago, ROMO was birthed and the leadership of the union was inaugurated as a transportation union saddled with the responsibility of collecting revenue from commercial motorcyclists in the State. The union also oversees the activities of motorcyclists across the State.

"The last one year has been full of challenges, but with the support of the Ogun State government, the State House of Assembly and particularly our members across the State, ROMO has been able to hold its own.

"The union has break even in the transportation industry in Ogun State and this due to the resilience hard work and commitment of every member of the union.

"A special appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun State House of Assembly for believing in the union and giving us the chance to prove ourselves.

"There is no doubt that, in the last one, ROMO has changed the face of transport union in Ogun State. And this was achieved through the good conduct of our members across the State.

"One of the major achievements of the union is attaining a record high revenue generated from sales of tickets from motorcyclists.

"The union has also brought sanity into the once violence industry and this is all thanks to the maturity our members brought onboard.

"We want to also commend the good people of Ogun State for their support over the year."
