Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun has promised the citizenry in the State of peace and total calm between herders' and farmers' crisis in Ogun State.
Governor Abiodun affirmed this during the stakeholders parley on Farmers'/herders' disorder held at Obas' Complex, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, dazzled him while such confusion should transpired between the people who had in decades lived together now abruptly declined to dine at the same table.
According to the Governor at the interactive meeting, he stated that the crisis has become bottleneck that people who had coexisted peacefully for years have been turning against themselves on the account of livelihood.
Added that, on the memory lane, herders and farmers have been coexisting in common environs with each other and they have continued to find joint solutions to their mutual challenges, occasional friction and misunderstandings and in time sorted these differences amicably.
He, nonetheless, promised the residents remedial attention that urgent and pragmatic steps would be taken in settling the farmers'/herders' fracas for the lives and safety of the dwellers in Ogun State are very paramount to him, reiterated that no stone would be left unturn in securing the peace and safety of his people in the State.
