FG SPECIAL PUBLIC WORKS SCHEME TAKES-Off IN RNLG, ISARA.

The Chairman, Remo North LG Transition Committee, Hon. Michael Abiodun Somoye, has flagged -off the Federal Government Special Public Works program, for 1000 youths in Remo North LG area. 

In  his speech at the event, Hon. Somoye charged the beneficiaries to be punctual and committed to the task ahead, adding that daily registration would always be observed in order to determine and justify the monthly salary payment to every beneficiary, which according to the Chairman, might be stopped for non participation. 

Hon. Somoye disclosed that the program was embarked upon as a means to provide job for the teeming unemployed youths, because, according to the LG Chairman an idle hand is the devil workshop and which is generating many havoc on the street.

In her own remark, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) Dr (Mrs) Aishat Lawal advised the beneficiaries to  set high standard for the execution of their public works and judicious ways to spend their meager salaries.

Earlier in his speech, the Director of Works and Housing Department, Engr. Afolabi Samuel, implored the beneficiaries to be determined to do the job of making public places clean and tidy, always. admonishing them not to trivialize the job with non-challant attitude but rather appreciating the offer .
